    Pretty basic
Say I have a 94 3.0 4runner, that starts- just have to turn the key a few times til it gets the starter going and this doesnt always happen . This rig has all new fuses, alt, battery, and 80amp power wire I got this rig has sat for 10 years and I got it home basically re did alot of stuff , and has been great , but this is the 4th time this has been an issue and curious what you guys think and or have seen before. All grounds are also good I am leaning towards ignition module and just doing the key tumbler too. Thanks From the 406

The tumbler would probably be the easiest and cheapest to change, so I would try that first.

When turning the key initially doesn't work. Did you try jumping the starter straight from the battery? (make sure in park or neutral with e-brake on) If that works, I'd suspect the ignition switch or starter relay.

Why would an ignition module prevent the starter from going?
