Leveling kit. Easy question.

I’m booked for a 2.5-3 inch puck install on the front and 1-1.5 in the rear of my 2021 fifth Gen 4 runner. Just a leveling kit.
Will I require a dif drop or bushing or longer shocks.
The shop is reputable and say no I won’t. However Toyota quoted 2 times the price and said you need a diff drop at least.

With a 3" spacer lift you will probably need longer shocks, as well as upper control arms to get a decent alignment.

Easy answer: Dont do a 3" puck lift.

 

Both my SR5 and this SR5 have the same ReadyLift spacer kit. Its 3in front and 2in rear. It comes with diff drop kit. The pic below might give a little idea about the angles even though this screen capture is for a different purpose. Right now I think this have about 50,000 or 60,000 on the lift. Toyota quoted $1000 for parts + labor for this and both of us installed this at a 4x4shop few blocks from the Toyota dealership at $720 or $730 for parts + labor in 2017. Not sure whats the price now.


And this 2021 TRD ORP also has the same kit. Not sure how many miles it has now.

 

That's a lift, not a leveling kit. A leveling kit would be just lifting the front.

 

If you really want that much lift, skip the pucks and upgrade your suspension.

First though, get a plan and think it through. IFS lifts get complicated.

An actual leveling kit is pretty safe and a diff drop isn’t necessary none the less.
