Leveling Kit TRD Wheels Soon to have TRD bumper with hidden winch
It has been almost 30 years since I have updated a car audio system. Working with a 2004 4Runner Sport with an updated head unit (pioneer) My older son blew out all of the speakers (except the center dash) before his brother got the 4Runner handed down to him (still only 150K miles).

With this being said, I wanted to update the amplifier and speakers (and sub). Any advice is appreciated...I have picked out a couple of speakers on Crutchfield. Wondering how difficult it is to replace the amplifier with one that will fit in the same location behind the passenger side back seat?

Get a 4 channel 2 ohm stable amp with a built in crossover. Run your four or six mids and highs off two channels. Bridge the other two onto a sub?

The amp should have a built in fan. I would buy used like an old school 1/4 ohm stable Phoenix Gold. Just do it right the first time.

This is what I down graded to I’m running 12 speakers off of two channels and a sub off the other two. Never overheats? It’s fairly compact.

It’s the last amp you will ever have to buy.

This is in the Z28. I have not touched the 4R it is awesome stock. The staging and crossovers are perfect.
