I'd never even noticed it until I stumbled upon this thread.

Received the following email from Meso
    IMG_1631.jpg

I swapped the wires like indicated and that did the trick.

tried it on CarPlay, and Bluetooth and everything works like a charm.
Left arrow for previous song and right arrow for the next one.

however I noticed that when on the radio menu, changing presets is reversed (left arrow goes to the next station and right arrow goes to the previous one). Personally it doesn’t bother me that much because I only have 6 presets and they loop around but some might not like it. Volume works just as intended

@semprenissart I'm summing that you provided feedback to Meso Customs regarding the buttons for the radio presets. It's good to see that they are responsive and trying their best to implement a fix to the issue.

Installed my kit with the updated harness today. Took all of 10 minutes, works flawlessly.

Do you have the same issue as me regarding changing the FM presets?

Yes unfortunately they haven’t got back at me this time. I might call them next week to make sure they received my feedback

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I was going to do this mod. When I saw it, I thought "FINALLY!", but then I remember that I've been training my brain for over 2 1/2 years to know that up is next track, down is repeat track, left is vol down and right is vol up.

I don't think I have the mental capacity to re-train my brain yet again.

Weird. I don’t see why XM presets work the right way but FM wouldn’t. You said you got the new harness. I wonder if it’s got something to do with it. I’ll definitely give them a call

which model year is your 4R and did you have to use the included adapter? (Is yours 6pin or 10pin?)

Yeah I agree, the preset forward and back are surely not dependent on which source is being used.

I’ve got a 2020 Pro, so the JBL system. The connector in the truck is the small one, not sure how many pins. Absolutely need the adapter he includes to mate to the larger connector on his replacement board.

Trevor sent a replacement adapter since I guess the pinouts were goofy on the one in the box. Once I heard that was coming, I didn’t bother to install with the original adapter and just waited for the new one.
