    I've always been a fan of the JDM look with amber side markers on older imports. Decided to put them on my 4Runner. Not for any reason but because I just wanted to. These came standard on Hilux Surfs and FJ Cruisers (from other countries) from what I understand. Landcruiser 70 series from Australia still have them currently. Used Toyota part number 81730-17051 which was for older Supra's.

    They will be wired with a relay to only go on with parking lights and turn signals.

    What is funny is that people would spend big bucks to remove something like that if it were to have come from the factory.

    What size hole did you drill? Did you use a rubber grommet or just primer & paint?

    The hole you have to cut is rectangular.

    The black rubber around the light is a rubber gasket that comes with the lights.

    After cutting out the hole, I covered the exposed metal with matching paint. I did 3 coats for each side.

    Looks better than the raptor lights.

    Just need the insert rice sticker on the fuel door. J/K. The stupid things we did in high school to our imports.

    No, people would put a clear- or smoked lens on it. :laugh:

    I don't see the point of a fender-mounted turn signal when there's one already on the side view mirror, but to each his own.

    Finally wired them up. I think they look pretty good!

    I think this looks great! Wondering if you bypassed the mirror signal? I’ve always looked for Japanese OEM style for the 4Runner thanks for the part number!! Cheers!

    No I didn't bypass it. The fender lights flash in unison with all the turn signal functions and with the hazards as well. They are also on whenever the corner lights/headlights are on and have switchback functionality switching from on->turn signals->on. I used these to accomplish the switchback functionality;
