    While I agree that being able to do the oil change without removing the forward skid plate is a huge convenience, it’s not a bad thing to pull the skids periodically to inspect the underside of the engine.

    A while back when I was on one of my adventures, a section of trail I was on was overgrown with hood high sage. I plowed through it no problem but last week when I was doing the oil change, I had to get the Shop Vac out and remove a lot of debris on top of the skids and the front of the AC condenser.

    Everything has pros and cons.
