As I am searching for rock sliders for my 2022 TRD ORP, I ran across the Paramount Automotive Canyon Rock Sliders. I love the design, with the integrated steps, and that they seem to have decent ground clearance. What I am not comfortable with is that they are body mounted sliders. While I will likely not be doing any serious rock crawling with my 4 Runner, I would be much more comfortable with frame mounted sliders. I spoke to Paramount to confirm that they do not offer this slider in a frame mount option. They did advise they have been asked about a frame mount option in the past and were aware of some customers modifying them to a frame mount. Is anyone familiar with these sliders and their quality? Has anyone modified these to a frame mount? If so, I am interested in the modifications. Thanks in advance.

Hard pass, those aren't real rock sliders they are nerf bars!

EDIT: Basing this statement on the body mount, I'm not actually familiar with the brand or the specific product.

These flimsy body mount brackets will never function as rock sliders. One hit and they'll tear off:

Thanks to all. Made ruling them out easy. Now the hard part. Finding a slider that will offer some protection (again, not doing any serious rock crawling, but have beat up past vehicles on hunting trips going through rocky creek beds, etc.) in a fairly low profile. But would like them to function as a step also. Decisions, decisions...

They should really take "Rock Sliders" out of the name because it's really misleading.

Maybe "Paramount Automotive Canyon Gravel Blockers", or "Paramount Automotive Canyon Rocker Destroyers".

Their marketing department sure is excited about plastic over mild steel.

"Our Paramount Canyon rock sliders... ...are made to last against any offroad threat."

Thanks to all. Any opinions on the Go Rhino products Dominator Extreme side steps? They also advertise rocker protection and they offer a frame mounting kit.

BW, these are also not proper sliders. And with the frame brackets the cost comes close to $1000. Why not just get real sliders? Call Go Rhino and ask them if the vehicle can be jacked up with the sliders.
