Gear oil for freezing temps?

    STOCK 1985 1989 3” ball joint lift cold air intake
    Looking to change the fluid in the transfer case, transmission(manual) front and rear solid axle diff fluid. Live in northern Minnesota where we get -30 and below in the winter whatever is recommend for this type of weather please???

    Manual 85 4runner fluid for my transmission transfer case and front and back diffs I live in norther Minnesota where it gets -30 and below I would like something that is recommended for that weather

    When i lived in Colo. i used Mobil 1 gear oil in all the running gear. That was in the 1970’s - 80’s, there are more choices these days. Any full synthetic should be fine, just thinking maybe Red Line.

    OME 2” lift, BudBuilt armor, RRO sliders, Spartan rear locker
    I used StaLube GL4, 85W90 in my transmission (2nd gen) and I would have to double clutch the 1-2 shift until the oil warmed up. I switched to Royal Purple GL5, 75W90 and now it shifts with 2 fingers. This is a synthetic GL5 oil that is non corrosive to yellow metals. Make sure any synthetic oil you switch to is non corrosive to yellow metals or it will trash your brass transmission synchros.
