I purchase a 2021 4Runner this week and I’m a newbie with a budget and was wondering what are the first things I should do with my new purchase. It’s an Sr5 and I don’t have unlimited funds.

First thing you should do is leave it stock and just drive it.

I was extremely happy to sell my stock tires off FB Market place around 500 bucks for all 5 tires and put towards buying A/T tires of my choice with a good balance of not too heavy, has 3 peak mountain snow flake rating, not too high load rating (I kept in middle with Load C).

(Search function on the top right corner should give you lot of posts about discussing what tires.)

A-pillar grab handle. It's a convenience item but you'll use it every time you get in or out of the vehicle.

I went for only four new tires and left the dunlop on the spare, because the tread looks fit for a donut meetup with spares to share . . . I am enthusiastically new to 4runner

Thank everyone for the response. It will be a daily driver for me but I am out all the time hunting and doing family hikes so I was just checking in about mods.

    Welcome.

My top mods would be a quality ceramic tint on all of the glass, including the windshield. Nice AT tires, if your tires are worn. Depending on the mileage and condition an upgraded suspension. If you plan on doing lots of off-road trails, some sliders and armor. Then just drive it and enjoy.

If you're gonna drive a lot of miles and are looking for smoothness and efficiency you can try a Toyota roof rail delete kit. I an also a fan of bright colors and heavy flake.

see thread / post. There is a part number somehwere in there.

    personally I'm still factory setup
