    I’ve always wanted a 4Runner with the 4.7 V8, especially for towing a trailer or boat. Had one in my last 2005 Tundra TRD Double Cab, averaged 17-18 mpg. I really don’t pay much attention to mpg. But dropping into 4th (a button on the gear selector stalk) on a steep up hill grade pulling my boat to the river and putting your foot into it, I could pass all the semi-trucks in the slow lane doing 65 mph. The sound of the Spin-Tech muffler when you put your foot into it was glorious, nothing like the V8 growl. Welcome to the forum!
