Has anybody tried putting a remote fluid cooler with a fan on a third generation 4R? We live in the Valley of the Surface of the Sun, commonly referred to as Phoenix. It’s been known to get a little warm around here sometimes. I’m not certain putting a cooler in front of my AC condenser in front of my stock radiator would work in these circumstances. I was thinking a remote cooler with a fan would be a better option. If anybody has any advice I would appreciate it. I was looking at the Derale Atomic Cool.

If you do that, you may want to run it separate from your radiator as there is such a thing as too much cooling.

It gets upwards in the 100's here (103-109 was common last month) and I had no issues with a B&M cooler.

I didn't bother look at your kit but if you can choose when your cooling fan comes on IE built-in thermostat, then that'd be cool to have.

It has an inline thermostatic switch that turns on the fan at 180 deg and off at (?) 165 deg.
I have on on my old Suburban and it works great. 700R4's don't like warm oil.
I am just not sure on placement. I'll have to see if I can tuck it under the bash plate.

700R4s, 4L60s, and 4L60Es don't like downshifting from OD when you go WOT either

Wide Open Throttle. I'm at 2k miles and I haven't done it yet. That way I can tell myself it really could accelerate more if I wanted. That's what I tell myself, anyway.

5VZs are slow as shit, well I take that back..
All 4Rs are slow as shit but it's not like they're meant to be quick anyway.
