I had my car towed to Toyota as it began yesterday intermittently stalling at stop signs. Upon stopping, all the dashboard lights would flash briefly and it would then not start back up. Upon waiting 1-2 minutes, It would restart without any issue. Upon coming to a stop it was as if it had a kill switch. I see similar posts without resolution. At what point does this become a known dangerous issue with vehicles unsafe to drive?

Uh like immediately? What if it starts to happen while you are going 60+?

Started yesterday, and when coming to a stop no matter how brief. Dangerous given I am obstructing traffic. Toyota just called me and they are suspecting my after market car starter is malfunctioning and are going to remove it. That may make sense as about two weeks ago the car started alarming (Anti-theft alarm) while I was driving it. The timing on that after market remote car starter has been problematic for years. I .e. I'd use my regular remote to open my car and the anti-theft alarms would sound for no good explanation.
