Questions of first time owner

I got a shiny 2023 TRD Offroad Premium with KDSS First 4Runner. I got some questions. Take your time to address them. Thanks

1. Should I be worried about rust in the West coast? It is parked a few miles from the beach and rains a lot in winter
2. 0W-20, really? On an old powertrain?
3. What undercarriage protection do I get in stock configuration?
4. Should I be worried about rodents? We got a huge squirrel population.
5. Why is the oil filter not in the engine bay? It sucks!
6. What are my lift options? I have a lift in mind. How high can I go without voiding warranties and messing up the truck?
7. Do you guys pull small campers?
8. What equivalent to Jeep Wave we have in 4Runner world? Or people don't care, it is just a truck.
9. I have KO2s in mind. What do you think? And how big can I go?
10. I did not buy the extended warranty. Do people buy them?

 

And there is no feature on the Toyota app to see the location of the vehicle. Am I missing something?

 

Really what? 0w-20 is what most vehicles use.
Rust yes
Rodents yes

What to do then with rust and rodents?

 

#1 - You can get your vehicle ceramic coated to help and the frame fluid film which seems to be the most popular.
#2 - Most Toyotas use 0W-20, what were you expecting?

#4 - Be more worried about mice than squirrels especially if you live in a filed or farm. Suburbs, I wouldn't worry to much.
#5 - it's attached to the engine, correct?

#7 - Should be no issue
#8 - Nope
#9 - Search and most likely 275's without a lift.
#10 - Sometimes, sometimes not. Your choice.
