    Too much crap
I thought you might enjoy some competition from the local crazy cat lady! You're gonna have to start covering your skid plates with decals now. Maybe all the users of this site can just mail you unwanted decals and see what kind of crazy collage we can create on your truck?

Well, against my better judgement… But, I will put this in the ‘better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them’ category.

However, they should be nice when the NH winter kicks in.

Hopefully I get more life out of these than the Toyos…

Not what I did today, but what I saw. While leaving the local House of Waffles, this "Battle Wagon" was parked in the lot.

All that needs is molle webbing on every single surface throughout the interior, including the headliner, and then the zombies won’t stand a chance.

I did the interior conversion to LED. Looks like daylight inside now. And I can’t get the driver side map bulb out to save my life. Grrrrrr. Had to give up before I busted the bulb.

Poor beast of burden. Maybe he should try out putting a spare tire up front where the jerry can is, to help with weight distribution :D

The jeep could totally rock that style. Especially with the top down lol

If you open the sunglasses holder, there are 2 screws holding the overhead unit. Unscrew those, pull the whole thing down. Undo the electrical connector, and then you can get at those bulbs from the other side....much easier.

Dropped it off for tire re-balance/rotation & alignment @ 62,530 miles. 36k on the Cooper tires.
They called & said frt are chewed up why I have vibration @60mph (I know that) my fault as I was too lazy to rotate them from 12k ago, $39 ea. road force bal & 149 alignment. Not sure if that bal. is high or not as I used to go to my buddies shop & do them my self, but he's since sold & retired.

I’m getting my front re-balanced. She is wiggling a bit. Says I need pads and rotors. Yay me.

I used small hemostats. Used to use them all the time to R&R "Peanut" bulbs in the overhead of the Gulfstream I used to maintain.

I had some trepidation about this operation, but it's finally done and I'm quite happy with it. I used a combination of the KTJO kit and Jason's bracket, which is the costliest approach, but the closest I could get to a completely OEM look with a super high-confidence lower attachment. Pics and note below
    .GrabHandle_1.jpg GrabHandle_2.jpg

    Observations
    1. Positioning Jason’s bracket was a little tricky. Noting that the KTJO rivnut uses the existing hold in the A-pillar, I tried to place it with measurements, but the 3-D angles cause simple measurements to be off. I ended up using heavy-duty double-sided tape and repositioning it about 4 times, taking the garnish on-and off.
    2. I initially tried to install the self-tapping screws on Jason’s bracket with just hand tools, but even after slightly enlarging the pilot hole to 9/64”, the A-pillar steel was just too tough. The screws went in easy enough with a power driver and enough pressure.
    3. The KTJO garnish looks like OEM, but the fit isn’t quite perfect. There are small gaps around the dash and the weatherstripping. Although I stuffed foam under the headliner, there’s still some unevenness where they meet. I could probably improve the fit with small movements, but I didn’t want to keep putting the garnish on and off, especially since it wasn’t easy to mate the bolts that mount the handle.
    4. The handle is rock solid. Unless the self-tapping screws vibrate loose, it’s not going anywhere.
    5. The color on the KTJO garnish is indistinguishable from OEM.
    6. The KTJO handle looks like a perfect match to the passenger side.
    7. From some angles, the handle does come into my field of view, but not very much and not at all for straight ahead.

Re-installed my roof basket. I don't like the way the traction mats mate with it, so they will likely stay inside. Other gunk will go outside (First aid kit, recovery strap, portable CB, tools, etc.) all securely locked down!

    I don't put any stickers anywhere :D.

Other than being in a liberal hot spot where people cannot control their emotions (and are missing things like deductive reasoning, self-awareness, respect of others' views, etc.) I wouldn't dare express any point of view.

When I was younger, I didn't put stickers on my car because I didn't want a music company sticker to maybe indicate to a potential thief that I might have music gear in the car. I wouldn't want a pro gun sticker on my car, because a cop having a bad day might take that as a threat. And what if that really beautiful stripper in the convertible absolutely hates the Beatles? Yes, that happened. :(

    Parts.toyota.com

Use these as your location ZIP code:
    36606 (Springhill Toyota)
    79111 (Street Toyota)
    92108 (Norm Reeves Toyota)

I see that you are in Texas, so if you're trying to miss out on some sales tax, Street Toyota is not going to do it for you.

The three dealerships above regularly display that they have the best retail prices for OEM Toyota parts. Recently, Street Toyota had one item that was at full MSRP, an aberration and possibly just a computer error.

OMG I was asking about this a while ago. Do they fit over original or did you remove them? I’d really like to know how OEM covers come off if they do.

Great info thank you very much. Maybe you would know if there is a site where I can all of the specs on my truck by the VIN. I’d like to know what all it came equipped with. I didn’t purchase from a Toyo dealership. The place I got it didn’t know it had third row seats. With the MINIs we had RealOEM.com and I saw everything like engine number, packages etc and it’s born on date. Super helpful when modifying the bejesus out of it.

Today I took all of the crossbars off my roof rack and rust proofed all the screws. I replaced my license plate screws with stainless steel and rust reformed and painted them as well as license plate fittings. Everything facing up or out got a shot of reinforcement.
I also had the front tint brow redone. Previous one was useless to me at five foot two.

    image.jpg

Oh and I got the best info ever from here how to get the map light bulb out so it got replaced.
    It made me batshit.
And I found out my brakes are shot.

I got red ones from Cartrimhome a few months back. The accelerator just slips on. The brake one has a rubber one already on it. It easily removes and slip new one on. Maybe 10 mins install.

Try creating a user account on Toyota.com and enter your VIN. That should get you the basic info.
