I have a beautiful 4Runner and have found myself upside down in my loan for it. I really need to sell it for what it’s work, 30k, so I don’t have to declare bankruptcy Does anyone have any advice for me in regards to selling it quickly?

Check companies like Carvana and Carmax. Also put it on Craigslist, OfferUp and Autotrader. We ended up selling our Civic on Autotrader. Just be prepared to deal with the tire kickers.

I’m not sure if Carvana and the like are buying cars for high dollar amounts like they were a year ago, but that might be a good bet. But shop it around to see if who has the best offer. Selling private party will probably get you the highest dollar amount, but it might be more work to sell with leined title. Good luck!

Welcome. Take it down to Carmax and get a cash estimate. It will at least give you a starting point, so you don’t get screwed over selling it. If you have time, list it on your local classifieds, Craigslist, cars dot com, autotrader, etc. If you don’t have time, check around at what local dealers will offer you, after getting the carmax offer.

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
Believe it or not, Nissan, Chevy, HyunKia and other lesser brand dealerships love Toyotas, you'll still take a haircut ($30,000 is waaaay overpriced), but they want Toyotas on their lots to draw people in. Toyota dealerships love Toyotas too. They get people in and try upselling to a new one.

Let them know there's competition between dealerships and advertise it on OfferUp and those free sites (Autotrader, cars.co*, I can't remember who does free ads anymore)...

    Good luck
