Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Most of the people in this topic would fall under this category: Maui truthers are so dumb they’re using a Falcon 9 photo as wildfire evidence

Is stuff tracking you? Yeah. Can it be in not your best interests? Sometimes. Can you opt out of that insurance feature in the tracking? Yes. Would that be in your best interests? Yes. Can the Toyota Big Brother listen in on you having incestuous sodomy with your uncle? Maybe. Will anyone care? No. If they do, BAM! Lawsuit. Everyone will know you like doing it with your uncle, but all of the zeros in your bank account will make you forget about that. You've also got the flipside where the technology can help police locate your stolen 4Runner. If a little tracking means your baby is safe, and also your child, then is that not progress?

You've got people talking about an episode of The Sopranos. Are you a mob boss? Are you committing crimes? Because if you're committing crimes, they're crimes whether or not you're being tracked by Toyota.

To these people, I say to them that Akio Toyoda's sexy Big Brother remote anal probing is as erotic and arousing as ever, and today I had a very pleasurable remote probing session courtesy of Akio Toyoda himself. Akio-sama really knows how to pleasure his little bitch using all of the technology at his disposal. I feel so sorry for these other people that they choose not to be taken by Akio Toyoda for a ride on Space Mountain on a daily basis and twice on Sunday.

I find it "funny" that i get airbag recall notices (mail and text) from my significant others yaris. My name is nowhere on the title or registration. We moved four times (NC,KS,MS,KS) and it has hit me every time we move. Annoying. "2+2=5"

There are real mental health issues going on here. Where else would you see Uncle sodomy, The Sopranos, and a Toyoda anal probe mentioned in the same post. SMH

Well — there’s one in every group and in this group it’s Ray. But we make allowances because every once in a while hidden in the insanity is a nugget of truth that is incisive and correct. Not so in this thread, of course, but still …

Yeah, it's just a small handful that always seem to fuck up a really good thread. Nothing useful to add, just BS.

After Bill Gates invented a micro-chip that could pass thru a hypodermic needle he put tracking chips in the Covid vaccine. Then he sold that technology to Big Oil and municipal water system operators. They in, turn now put millions of tracking chips in EVERY gallon of gasoline and gallon of treated water sold in the world.

If you have any gas in your tank that has been purchased after 2012 DUMP IT OUT NOW!! If you have water in your radiator DRAIN IT NOW!

The only way to protect your privacy is to fill your radiator with Bud Light and modify your Runner to run on gassified wood, like in Europe after WW II.

    Big brother is watching!!!

If you don't protect yourself he'll send illegal aliens into your bedroom at night to rub their junk on your face as you sleep...

it kind of is the point. If she’s the primary on the cell plan, youre all getting it. Same with insurance.

Who cares if you get something. I get mail all the time for my ex wife (2007) for various things that made it to my new house in 2019 (2nd move). Do i care? No because its not a big deal.

And yet, the tinfoil hat brigade carries around a device in their pocket that tracks their location 24/7, even when it's turned off...

I would be more concerned that somebody can hack Toyota and get access to your vehicle. Then hackers can unlock it, start it, see your vehicle exact location etc. And Toyota was actually hacked last year, if I remember correctly that time only customer information was leaked, but it can be worse next time.

I pulled the cellular antennas, the DCM can still TX/RX when close to a cell tower.

I hit the SOS button, navigated the phone menu and ended up with a representative that took care of my opt-out. Got an email saying no more data transmission, I accept this means no blah blah features, I can re-enroll by calling. No more green light but I haven't checked to see if the DCM indicator is different.

5 pages and 127 intellectual, on topic posts in a thread titled "How to disconnect the tracking telemetry on the 5th gen 4Runner". And then you hijacked the thread turning this into a "Why would anyone want to disconnect the tracking telemetry on the 5th gen 4Runner and put my blah blah blah".

Hopefuly the thread stays juicy and informative.

Finally got to finish reading this thread -

Has anyone tried sending 120V AC to the antenna wires?

Bet that DCM would take a shit then
