I prefer the gen 1 shape and look overall but these are super neat. Red does look great in certain colors

The turn signals share the same LEDs as the brake lights, albeit in amber (thankfully). When braking, all three red brake lights should be illuminated regardless of whether one is turning left or right.

This is a step backwards in terms of safety and is illegal in many countries.

Not a fan of the sequential turn signals either -- reminds me of the kit I used to see in the JC Whitney catalog back in the 70s and 80s that would make the turn signals do this. Looks tacky. Just make the turn signals flash a bright amber with no increment of brightness over time.

    And by the way Morimoto:

    Bright
    Brighter
    The Brightest

Meh, makes the 4Runner look more like a Kia than a Toyota. The OEM 4Runner tail lights fit it really well. Depo, Eagle Eyes, Anzo, etc. did a great job of enhancing the OEM look without ruining it.

Also, I would like some of what they are smoking. $650 for a pair of aftermarket tail lights?!?!

Seeing a new 4runner taillight option makes me wonder if they have a Gen 3 headlight in the works. I think the current generation is really perfect for the 4runner, love the amber ones.

I dont know how Morimoto can come up with such a great looking headlight but can't after two generations nail down tail lights.
