Hey all.. So this is going to be pretty broad.

I've got a 97 4runner. I replaced the head gasket. And everything that goes from there up. Heads were gone through entirely at Vegas Machine. They made them pretty, milled, replaced valves and did clearance as far as I know.

Anyway Its running rough, misfiring a little, tad shaky at warm idle. I'm not sure what the cause could be.

I've changed out the ign cables and packs with some aftermarkets first, then some oem from my other runner. No difference. Quadruple checked timing, seems fine.

Any help is appreciated. Let me know if there is any info I can add to narrow it down. Could valve clearance cause misfire? shop claimed to have adjusted that but its possible they didn't or it was done wrong.

Update - in case anybody ever comes across this. After doing compression and leakdown tests, swapping coils and ingnition cables, putting new plugs, I came to the conclusion the injectors were the culprit.

I pulled all six injectors and sent them to MotorWest Performance. They refurbished five, and one was apparently too far gone which they replaced for a core charge. I just installed them today, misfire is gone and the truck is running fantasticle.
