Do you let the parking guy valet your 4R or drop the guy and park it yourself?

If you want dents in your truck and stuff missing then absolutely valet it. I trust valet people as much as the stealerships!! Find your own parking and know that it's done right my friend.

Used a valet once and my car came back smelling of cigarette smoke.

Maybe just a bad first time use but that one incident ruined it for me going forward.

It depends. I will always park my self whenever I can, but some places its just not an option. Like spending the day in NYC or a high end restaurant where you don't really have a choice. But in those cases they Valets are pretty good.

However since I run surveillance cameras in my 4R its no so much of a concern if I have to.

Park myself. Did valet once in my new Acura TL-S with only 200 miles on it. It came back with a chunk missing out of the front wheel. They literally acted like it was already there. Never again with valet service.

If you have to ask then don’t valet. It’s not worth you worrying about.

    Agree 100%.
Just wondered if I was in a minority.
Ive had extremely poor incidents with valets.
Including damaging your car and flat lying about it.
Another group of fools can be detailers, not all but most.
Cant drive stick but claim they do, don't know how to put a Saab in reverse, rip off your solenoid switch to open your trunk……lots of ass clowns.
Best policy, wash your own car & park your own car.

I've never had any issue with valet. They've always been very professional but I also always tip when I give the car and get it back.

Don't know where all ya all live but round here valets are good. Also everywhere else I've ever used one.

Unfortunately sofla is not norcal. People are much more cordial and honest in their abilities in norcal. Not so in sofla and getting worse.

I only use valet if there is no other option.

I don't even like valets to drive my 2010 Outback. It bugs me when restaurants are valet-only without a good reason (such as extremely limited space that requires moving multiple cars to get one out).

Sometimes you don't have a choice.

Most of the time I'll just park my self because I don't mind walking. When I have used valet I havent had any issues.

Every time I see a valet, I think of this scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

    Gomiami!
So sad but true. I remember in the early 80’s the cash register guy at 7-11 actually carry my pregnant wife’s groceries out to her car. Just super class act. Now……no way jose. I went to Nova high school in late sixties. End of civilization was University drive. Now, west Lauderdale is half way to Naples. Overcrowded. I-95 is a parking lot. If my kids didn’t live there I’d be long gone.
