2002 Brake / ABS sound

Hello all, recently my truck has started making this god awful sound when I start the engine. It normally lasts for about 10-15 min before stopping. sounds like its coming from the ABS Modulator. No brake lights or any other lights come on. brakes work fine.

sounds like the seagull might be hurt to me.

 

only thing I could think of is your door dinger is messed up and the sound is distorted..?? IDK

 

all kidding aside. check fan belt, fanbelt pulley, ac pulley, tensioner and alternator pulley. sounds to me like one of those might have rust and/or getting stuck

 

next look at power steering pump the fluid level looks pretty low there bud. correction brake fluid

 

I just bought a '02 4Runner and mine is making that exact same noise! I know this is an older thread but what was your issue? I took my to the shop and they said it's the Master Cylinder and the Accumulator that is making the noise. They want $4,500 to fix it!!!! I literally just bought the damn thing. Did you get yours fixed? Is there a cheaper fix? I'm desperate.

 

mine is making same noise. Please advise. 2004 4runner. it does it intermittently 2 to 4 times and stops and it comes back sporadicly. no abs light
