I've been reading through for 6 weeks and going bigger on tires is pretty complex. I'm hoping I can get pictures and help on what it took to get your Limited with the wheels and tires you needed.

I have a 2015 4runner Limited with stock 20" rims. I'm wanting the tires to stick out (I think -18 offset is what I need) and go with a new 20" XD Rover864 -18mm offset. I'm also wanting to go with BFG KO2 285/55/R20's. I want that aggressive look with wide tire stance, but not crazy.

Anyone else accomplish this on your Limited? Can you share what you had to do and pictures?
I was thinking of only leveling, but a shop is telling me I need to lift 3 inches.

    Thanks

    Welcome!

I agree that there is so much info on this forum, it makes everything confusing.

I ended up buying what I wanted and just made the needed adjustment as I went

So far I have kept mine stock to see what the baseline is and have not changed anything as if yet.

Welcome to the forum and set back and enjoy the ride!

    Welcome!
I was told to fit 285/70/17 tires, that you needed 3x2 lift, loose front mud flaps and minor trimming of front fenders. This is what I did and added Black Rhino-Abrams (drab olive green) wheels (0 offset) & AMP power running boards.
    I like the look & I get a lot of compliments…
    Good luck on your decision!
    GO HOGS!!

Im not sure how different the limited trim is from a tire fitment and lift perspective but as others have noted if you want to go 33's (285 70 R17) you'll definitely need some trimming of the front fender liner and a lift (spacer or new suspension) can often help clear the tires

Thank you all for sharing. I'm not going to be doing any offroading, truly want a good looking 4 runner with an aggressive wheel and tire stance where they show a couple inches outside the wheel well. I see the vast majority of people are going with 17" wheels is that because your offroading? Or is there something else the 17" gives you on the 4 runner thats better than the 20"? Just curious if I'm missing something.
