New tire dilemna…

Or rather new wheel dilemna.

Replacing my 23 ORP wheels with 40th anniversary wheels. In short-run hoped to save a few $$ by not getting tires just yet. OEM are Dunlop Grandtrek.

I was only ever going to dirt road “off roading” in near future. Not sure Dunlops are good for much more. But fine on street.

Problem is no tire shop wants to touch them: “we can’t warranty work, we didn’t sell tires”

I’ve done this before. So this is new. From what I saw many shops are understaffed - waaaayyyy understaffed. Lot of no shows , especially in this heat. Problem may be more in staffing.

So… they are only interested if you buy new tires from them. Even BJs.

I was looking to get BFG KO2s, but like I said…later.

I guess I could sell the ORP wheels, but they’re a flood of these. I see people unable to sell $400 with tires and TPMS. I’ll actually like the ORP wheels, and was planning on keeping (at least wheels).


Bite the bullet now?

Oh. And I won’t go to Town Fair tire. They suck.
