    Anyone have any links to known good steelies? I found some on Walmart but couldn’t determine if they were hub centric or not. Another pair I found on eBay was lug centric as well.

    Probably looking for 17x8 so I can run 255/80s. Any help is appreciated!

    I run 17" FJ Cruiser steelies for my winter tires. No issues and the usual OEM quality.

    If you guys don't mind amateur question from me;

    • Why steelies? When I check my spare BFG KO2 LT285/70R17C it was whopping 85lbs if I can remember. So 255/80R17E would be much heavier than what I have. Stock wheel would be on the lighter side right? (I think it was 10lbs lighter. I might have to measure again.)

    • Why 17x8 for 255/80R17? 17x7 can run upto 275s with in tire manufacturer specs right?

    Depending on his tire choice 255 80 17 range from 50-60lbs.

    From what I recall the factory steel wheel weighs 28-30lbs. Which isn't much more then the sr5 wheels.

    Running a wider wheel makes the 255 appear wider.

    I personally just like the look of steelies.
