I am having an intermitent problem with my front door lock not locking automatically on my 2000 4runner sr5. It seems to happen more when the car is warm during the hotter months. The other doors don't always lock fully as well when this happens. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    Thanks,

its not difficult to remove the door panel and inspect things to make sure nothing is rubbing and catching, and that the connectors are all securely connected, etc.... There are videos to show how its done, and if you are even a little handy it is no problem.

I had a car that had problems locking, and turned out something was binding and causing some issues. Maybe you'll get lucky and it will be an easy fix.

Thanks for the reply. I will give it a try and let everyone know what I find out. The weird problem is that the problem is intermitent, so that makes it harder to diagnose.
