Hello everyone! I recently bought myself a white 40th anniversary 4Runner and am thrilled to finally be able to join in on driving this cult classic vehicle. That being said, I would love to add some accessories to it to make it look a bit more beastly without cutting/trimming the body itself, and finding no cut accessories has been challenging.

if anyone has any recommendations for bumpers, bull bars, light bars, or really any other exterior accessories - I would be highly appreciative!

    Thank you!

So far the only roof rack I like that does not require cutting the roof molding or silicone on the bolts is the Sherpa Crestone. You could mount a light bar to it if that's your thing. Kinda spendy but that is what I am planning on getting eventually. I'm not really going to be doing any serious off-roading so I have no plans for bumpers currently but I have ordered the RCI engine skid(mainly to make oil changes easier with the access plate) as it does not require removing some braces that others require. Also ordered the RCI bumper filler plate to replace the plastic one to avoid having to cut it up when I mount the engine skid(I believe this filler plate only works with stock bumpers). If I ever get the itch for some extra up front lighting I will probably go with something behind the grill like the Diode Dynamics SS5 Stealth Grille Pod Kit as it does not require cutting or drilling. Welcome to the club!

Dude you're going to have to cut or modify to do just about anything.

    Congrats on your awsome ride

Oh man, welcome to the rabbit hole! I can't tell you how many boxes with interior and exterior mods showed up here after I brought my new ORP home lol. After all the easy stuff (window visors, bug guard, bumper wrap, raptor lights, and kayak carrier), I've moved on to some more serious mods. I've purchased the C4 Lo Pro bumper with high clearance additions and new rear bumper. At the moment I'm researching roof top tents, which should complete my build (for now).

Change out the tires to some All-Terrains or Mud Terrains in stock size. Look into leveling it by lifting the front about an inch. Upgrade the fog lights to Baja Designs or Diode Dynamic and add some ditch lights, some Husky or WeatherTech floor liners. Look into some organizers for the glove box and center console, recovery points.

Add some rock sliders and skid plates!

    Many frown on bull/push bars

    Btw, welcome

If you want to make it look more beastly, then raising it, getting AT tires and a custom front bumper with fog lights is the way to go. Add a roof rack and some window visors along with Skid plates. That would beef it up. But it will require more than a simple bolt on jobs.

Congratulations!! The 40th edition is a looker.

Same w/ the 40th - just under 10K miles at this time. Get stopped all the time with questions and positive comments.

I added interior molle panels and top shelf from Cali Raised, TRD shocks and springs and BFG 265/70/17 all-terrains.

Working on mounting fire extinguisher and other items on molle panels.

Certainly an enjoyable black hole we all travel.
