New to the forum and based in Western NC. Looking forward to interacting with those of you who know more about my Gen 3 4Runner than I do. Glad to be here.

I also recently purchased a 3rd gen and am new to the 4Runner world, but I've already used the advice on this site many times and look forward to contributing in the future!

Sorry to have been so slow in responding. Day job has kept me slammed for months.

Now have a silver '08 SR5 4Runner, 129K miles in great condition, but...... Having problems with both of my rear door locks actuating with both the remote and the lock/unlock switches. Know anybody who would know where to look on this. Note that both the front doors and the rear gate lock and unlock fine. Thanks.

Yes, nutsaboutsoccer, the leather seats are a bit chilly in winter. Not too bad here in Hendersonville, NC in winter, though. Warm up very necessary, on occasion.

Working on getting some pics loaded of the '98 SR5,

Drives like new. My son bought this '98 4x4 5spd with only 98K miles on it back in 2015, I believe. The guy he bought if from found it tucked under some trees with green algae all over it, bad clear coat and "doesn't run", said the owner. He towed it home, flushed it out and got it running, but not well. Turns out that it had knock sensors. We fixed those and it ran like new. Tight steering, shifter, everything worked except the A/C. He owned it for a year, needed some cash, so his Dad (ME) bought it and brought into the form you see. New paint, Konig 17X8 wheels, fixed the A/C, replaced the fuel tank/pump/filter (Tank rusted from sitting so long). Strong V6 with currently just under 145K miles and NO RUST. Very thankful for that. Have tried to sell it, but most people don't understand what a unicorn this 4R is, i.e., 5-speed, V6 and leather.
