I have a set of Depo all black tail lights that were originally purchased at USR. These are new, but have never been installed. Upon attempting to install, it was discovered that the mounting studs on the passenger side light were not seated properly and ultimately fell out of the tail light housing. I still have the studs, which are outlined in green in the photo below. I was not able to get the stud reseated properly and ended up buying different lights.

Attempts to get this rectified under warranty by USR failed (they stopped responding to me). Therefore, looking to see if anyone here has interest in them.

Asking $75 for the lights, buyer to pay shipping which I anticipate being fairly expensive given the size of the box. For example, estimates for shipping from St Paul to Orlando comes in at $80.

I'm very interested in purchasing these. Can you explain your problems with mounting them in a little more detail? Do you think they can still be installed with moderate work to fix the stud problem? Thanks

When I went to install the taillight, I noticed that it wasn't seating properly on the body. It took me a few minutes to realize that the studs (normally attached to the taillight housing) were missing. As a result the taillight had a lot of 'play' allowing it to move laterally quite a bit. I don't know if the studs came out during shipping or were never pressed into the taillight housing properly to begin with (i suspect the latter). That said, if you could press the studs into their respective locations I think they'd be fine. I tried this myself simply using my hand (no tools), but wasn't able to get the re-seated and wasn't willing to use too much force for fear of damaging the light.

It is entirely possible that the light could be installed without the studs in place given that there are two mounting posts that extend through the body and have nuts that secure the light to the vehicle. The studs seem to exist to provide stability and prevent any movement from putting stress on the mounting posts.

Let me know if you have further questions. Happy to answer whatever else I can.

Thanks for the additional information. I think I will be able to figure out the installation with some troubleshooting. One more question, are these the updated, more recent version offered by USR, which has all LED components? I added a screenshot of an article from Trail4R which talks about the newer vs the old version. Thanks!

Hmm, I'm not sure I have a definitive answer to that. I'll link to the lights as I purchased them below. They were purchased in September of 2022, so I'd imagine they have the latest parking/brake LED built in. The reverse light and turn signals are replaceable bulbs and currently have Lastfit LEDs installed (never actualy used as they were new when I installed them). Those will be included with the sale.
