    Hello eveyone,

I was doing my first oil change on my 2023 TRD off road. While screwing back the plastic filter housing i noticed it has a firm turn when i am tightening the filter. Like its not loosey /smooth. While i am turning, it has a slight retention. Is this normal ?

    Thanks for your time!

Yes normal. I can't just hand tighten like normal canister filter.

Yes, when you start the threads and then it starts getting tight after a few turns as it goes in, that's the o-ring making contact with the housing to make the seal.

That's rubber O ring isn't it? Lube it and make sure it doesn't pinch. They feel like that. When housing stops turning, don't put a wrench on it except to fully seat O ring and housing, stop when it does. You might save possible heartache
