    Hi.
Just had the 30K maintenance performed on my 2018 TRD 4Runner.

Per the manual it states all the inspections to be performed (some are additional since it is a 4x4) however the Toyota Dealership Service Dept. stated that they do not perform all the inspections (even though they are listed in the manual) since they are not needed.

I would think the dealership would follow the protocol of the Toyota service manual and was just wondering if anyone else experienced this? They just did the usual multi point inspection, ie, oil change, rotate, alignment etc. but it doesn't appear they did any extra lubing, etc. per the 4x4. They did not furnish their check list either. Seems like this is not enough for the 30K inspection?
    Thanks for any input.

Did you pay for the 30K service or just go in for regular 5k - 10k service interval.

Honestly who the hell lubes door and hood hinges. I do my driveshaft etc whenever I remember. Its not going to break if you miss one.

Thanks. I just paid for the regular service. I just thought per all that is listed in the owners manual that the inspection would be more comprehensive but the Dealership stated they do not perform all that is listed in the owners manual at 30K.

Just do it yourself. That way you know it is done and done correctly.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
    Ummmm....
    I do.
I di my driveshaft every spring and fall. Keeps the u-joints and double cardan nice and greasy. We get a fair amount of snow and rain here, and I prefer to have a well lubed drive line, than to have to replace the joints after the winter wetness.
Since I lost part of my leg, doing the greasing underneath is super easy. I just lay under the truck, and grease everything I can. It ws easier to get up after, but I still manage pretty well, if I do say so.
BTW: I check the breathers on both pumpkins while I'm down there. I think it's helped, but who's to say?

Doing the doors and hood hinges and tensioning bars helps prevent the squeekies from them, again, following the winter wetness.

Just me, though. Obviously, you do you.
