The Prius is a surprisingly good vehicle for gnarly trailhead access. A lot of my backpacking buddies take them where only 4x4s dare to tread.

Was this the Prius you saw on the trail?

A familiar engineering statement comes to mind when I saw this photo...

True, but this particular one is just a photoshop. There are however some real lifted Prius'.

Do you think they have threads titled "Will 35's rub?" on the Prius forums?

For real, I saw a chopped and lifted Miata in eastern PA yesterday.

That's one of the first places I drove a Jeep. How were the wildflowers? They ought to be pretty good about now, at least a bit further down.

Honestly- i have respect for the ingenuity and desire to do something different. Especially for a Prius. I’d love to try to off road with that.

Down lower below 10,000 they were beautiful, above certain areas had some. Most of the upper trails are still closed. The Alpine Loop is open. Black Bear Pass & Imogene Pass are both closed

I’m VERY new here (this is my 2nd post), but this thread caught my eye. This was last weekend up in Blue Ridge on part of the Georgia Traverse. 800BDFF4-6025-478E-B9BE-F1D52F2522F6.jpg

@Stoney Ranger, me and some other tacoma buds got together for some trails in Tigerton.

We did some of the OHV park’s most technical trails this time. Finally starting to feel comfortable with the 4runners capability. I’m pretty amazed at what these can do.

Top of Pickle Gulch trail (outside Black Hawk CO) at 10,560’ on Saturday. Amazing views. the second shot was super steep in some locations and a lot of bouldering in the end that I thought I was going to roll but had a great time doing it.

Still sleeping out in the Arizona desert during the day (while working at night). With summer temperatures increasing and the AC working harder during the day had to add another 400w solar panel (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BG6ZTJB2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). Now, a total of 600w solar extending the 400ah to lasting 2.5 days from 1 with 200w (on roof) and 1.5 days with 400w. But also had to set the AC to 80F, to cycle less, from 72F. Still comfortable inside at 80F.

@IceYeti Great shots! Jealous of that RTT, saving to pick that one up. How are you liking it? Also are those wheels the oem bronze?

I'm loving the RTT so far and it's so convenient. One drawback is that it adds a whistling sound when driving down the road with no music. That doesn't bother me as much since I'm alway listening to music.

The Bronze wheels are the 40th anniversary edition. They look amazing in person.
