Thanks man! That is my one true favorite toy of all time. It is a lightweight kawasaki SXR hull (waterdawgkustomz envy) with all of my Yamaha superjet (I destroyed that hull) parts in it. (Engine, pump, electronics)Waved.jpg cribstab.jpg stab.jpg

Cool, a hybrid of sorts you might call it, totally custom though. I’ve been riding stand ups since 1985, still own six actually; waveblaster, 650sx, 2-550s and 2-Honda Aquatrax. Always went to the world finals at Lake Havasu each year in the early days and Victor Sheldon would visit the Honda motorcycle shop I was parts manager at to use our solvent tank, tools, lath, mill or boring bar. Nice guy, gave me some racing parts for my ski that were last years model. Think he was racing for Butch’s out of Las Vegas, although he lived in San Diego north county. Jeff Jacobs also lived in the area, San Diego east county in El Cajon. He was #1 plate racing for Performance Jet Ski in Anaheim, Ca. near Disneyland. Those were some good times, although quite a bit younger then.

Additionally, looks like you have a Honda Shadow Aero 750 with Longshots on there too! I’d had a 2005 Aero 750 for a while. A couple mod tips, Barnett clutch springs really make a difference when riding double, no more clutch burn taking off from a stop light. Next, advancing the timing did wonders for waking the engine up, on the left side case remove the timing cover, no oil with leak out and remove the two Phillips head screws that hold down the magnetic pick up which sends spark to the plugs, activated by that circular sprocket thing in the center. By turning over the pick up which resembles a set of old school points, there is a cast in alignment dowel size of a pencil lead, it plugs into the breaker plate for a preset timing of approximately 3-4 degrees. Grind or file the the alignment dowel off so you can now put the screws back in the breaker plate loosely which is slotted and turn the pick up counter clockwise about an 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch, about halfway to the end of the slot, which will put it at about 7 degrees of advance. That is the sweet spot where the performance is boosted dramatically and the temperature the bike runs at is not increased that much. Honda over engineers it’s bikes so much to last so long and run in 110 degree weather in traffic that this mod is totally safe on the engine. But oh my god, the increase in power and seat of the pants acceleration was mind blowing. It is a very simple mod I may have gotten carried away with the details a little. Time spent appropriately 20 minutes. I found this mod on YouTube I think. Cheers!

I'm 51 so those are all of the legends from when I was riding as a kid. I also started in 85 on a red 550! Table Rock Lake at Indian Point.

I rode yesterday and am sad to say I am losing interest after all these years.

Man one thing I can confidently say after a couple of months of owning this 22 Tacoma.....I wish I would have just bought another 4 Runner.

I liked my wifes 2023 4Runner so much that I just assumed I would like a Tacoma...so I barely test drove it.....just around the block and back to the dealership.

Now after putting 2k miles on it I can say I kinda hate it. It is just a light weight jerky underpowered over geared Japanese car with a bed on it.

    Anyone else own both?

Oops just saw this post...no mine is a Kawasaki Vulcan 1600. Fun bike but I am not a huge fan of V twins and will probably go back to a inline 4 standard or crotch rocket soon.

The Vulcan is SUPER loud and does burnouts all day long but just not fun to me for some reason....
