I have a 2006 Toyota 4Runner Sport V6 and the following part rusted off. it is from the front of the car located in the underbody. I've searched online to try and identify this part but have no idea of what it does and how I can/need to replace. I posted some pictures of where the part rusted off as well as the part itself. Appreciate any help.

    thanks,
    Peter

That's the front skid plate. Not a critical part of the vehicle, it only serves to protect the engine oil pan and steering rack from damage when off road. The might be a small aero function but it's negligible.

    Toyota OEM part number 51405-35140

Appreciate the responses and help find the part number! Glad it is not critical to the vehicle but will look to replace.

    thanks

I’m in Toronto. Lots of salt and snow here that most likely caused this. Any aftermarket recos?
