I'm sure this question has already been asked in this forum many times but I couldnt find a thread that addresses it, but I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade your speakers to the JBL system if your vehicle did not come with it initially, Thanks.

    First question would be why?

You can upgrade to much better speakers, head unit, amp, etc. than the OEM JBL system.

Would it just be better to go all the way with a custom setup instead of doing the JBL? I don't know much about speaker systems and thinking of easier solutions than a full custom setup

What’s your budget and how good do you want it to sound?

I don't really know how much I should spend, but I don't need a super loud system, just one that is better than OEM.

Do you have a qualifier for space/sound quality/how low of hz you want to reproduce/power considerations (factory or upgraded).

basic “sq” system includes a 2 way front stage with processing and a five channel amp to drive it all with a 12” sub. Single 12” is the easiest way to get where you want to be.
