As the end of the trail of our venerable 4.0 V6 / 5sp. automatic powertrain grows closer, I think a lot of us are thinking that we may want to keep our 5th Gens as long as possible. I know that many of us are wondering how long that "possible" in terms of miles actually might be.

So, would love to have a thread of posts from forum members with their stories about their high-mileage 5th Gens - let's say 150k miles and beyond.

How many miles are on your high mileage 5th Gen? Anything special maintenance items along the way to help you make it to your milestone?

Hope this is fun, but also informative for those of us who would like to hit those mileage benchmarks someday.

    Brad

Every single Toyota we have owned, the lowest mileage at which I got rid of one was 225k. The highest was 360k on my inlaw's ES300 that was not particularly well taken care of.

I expect mine to out last me now that I no longer have a 100 mile daily commute. :D

My SR5 is at around 166,000 right now. The suspension needs work. Mostly replacement parts due to age and wear.
The engine has at least another 100k in it.
I am going to hold on to it for a while and will eventually upgrade to a 2020+ few years down the line.

I'll check back in a few years...500k, no problem.
