I have a 2008 sr5 v6. I was getting a bunch of leaks and a whining pump so I replaced the pump and high pressure line. Drove it like that for about two weeks without problems but still a small leak from the return line. I swapped that last night and now I have no power steering unless I step on the gas. I tried bleeding the line but no more air seems to be coming out. Before I try flushing it again just figured I’d check and see if anyone had any ideas what’s causing this.

Just thought I’d add an update. The brand new pump I put in went bad. Don’t know why but I had a used pump from a different motor with a cracked mount. I JB welded it and stuck it in just to test and it works perfect.

^Thank you for the information. What brand was the pump that failed after two weeks? Was it new or reman?
