Hi y'all, I just traded in my old 4Runner and love my new one - very sad to say goodbye to my cassette player but I'll live. I have a Limited but would like to lift it (a bit) as I did my old one. Just for aesthetics: sit a little higher with bigger tires. I dont mind paying extra for the right kit. Also, who do I get to install one of these kits. Any recommendations?

I’m not the guy to ask. What I did to my LE would make you cry!

Seriously though, @kmeeg might be able to help.

    Welcome!

candidly, this is my first time doing anything like this forum so I'm not sure how it all works - just giving it a try. Not particularly computer savvy but I do love my 4Runners (my previous one was a 2004 w/V8).

very helpful, thank you - looks like 17" TRD PRO wheels with the AT tires is the way to upgrade for me. thanks

suggest reading some of those threads as to how XREAS suspension option on the Limited impacts lift choices.

If I were to do it again I would just use a top hat spacer that drop into existing bolts and lift the front just 1inch. Would be extremely careful not to touch the XREAS lines. I would still go 17in wheels and tires as well. I really like 17in looks. Yes many lo es TRD Pro wheels but for my silver I absolutely love TRD Offroad wheels. For anyone who don't like to change wheels I would say look at 275/55R20 SL.

So far with multiple lifts I didn't find any onroad comfort suspension as stock XREAS. Offroad a different story. I absolutely love ELKAs.

i got mine a couple of months ago. what i did was install a spacer lift 2 IMG_0900.jpg inch front 1 inch rear. sold the 20 inch wheels and tires and got 17s with 0 offset wheels. since the truck is new i will keep the xreas until it breaks then get a better suspension but for my purposes it rides great right now.

thanks, that looks awesome - perfect for what I was hoping for! if you can send me the exact things you ordered I will begin looking for a shop that can do this work (I'm assuming the dealership wont want to). I am in Miami Beach.
