I just purchased a 2021 TRD with the PSC system, I noticed it hasn't turned on or given me the warning break light yet, have tried to test it as much as possible without risking in colliding to another car.

I wanted to get another opinion on how sensitive these PSC system truly are from other owners, this is my first Toyota with this type of feature. The system is showing active and on with no errors so not sure If I should take it to the dealership to have it looked at, but I only have had the car 2 months.

That is very interesting. Mine is set at medium sensitivity and I get unwanted warning when a vehicle turns in front of me when my foot is not on the brake pedal.

Lane departure warning also same. The slightest touching of the lane it beeps. Sometimes it even mistakes long cracks on the road as a line (the crack road construction people leave when they are re-paving).

To me its too sensitive but I don't disable it might come in handy when I really need it if I ever get distracted like looking at a pretty lady or a nice car on the other side of the road.

Yeah, may be check with dealer and make sure your safety sense is working as intended.

I have turned off all of these. Am I the only one?
More than anything else it is annoyance to me.

I turned off everything that I could and never use the Dynamic Cruiser Control -- only the standard cruiser control -- because it automatically applied the brake when I was approaching a car parked on the side of the road. After that I vowed never to use it and since I use cruise control all the time I can easily adjust it with my right hand as I'm driving if I'm going over a knoll or approaching a slower moving vehicle.

The pre-collision is on because I haven't found a way to shut if off permanently but it's set to its least sensitive setting and I never hear it beep.

You might try setting it to its most sensitive and see if you can trigger it to go off. The manual goes over all this in detail.

You can turn off the lane change, but you can't on the pre-collision. You can only turn it down to low sensitivity - at least on my '20. Even on low it does just what @kmeeg mentioned. If someone is turning right and I'm approaching, it'll light up the dash and beep. Can't say I've felt the brakes being applied yet, though.

I have my pre-collision on low sensitivity and it was never activated since I bought the truck. Maybe they improved in for '22. But it turns completely off when front radar get covered in ice, show or mud, so I guess it's active most of the time.

I have '21 limited for 7 months or so, on low sensitivity and it did the braking for me 3 times already. In all cases, in my opinion way to early and too hard. I was going to have it under control but the stupid system took over braking. One time my kid got scared as it slammed the brakes so hard that his juice box literally flew out of his hand, wife's purse slid of the seat and spilled her stuff all over the car, with plenty of room for braking. Very odd. other 2 times similar thing out of the blue slams the brakes, yes traffic was there and I was getting ready to press the brake but it slammed it for me. In all cases the yellow BRAKE warning comes on for a split second before the car slams the brakes. No time to start braking on my own between the warning and system taking over therefore the warning on the screen seems almost useless.

I think pcs only activates if you’re going over 30mph or something like that.

My PCS has activated three times in two years and I'm glad it did in every case.
