I contemplate that daily. I can get the stock OR's like I have all day here for about $400 used (seen them as low as $250) and could then powder coat them. I'd prefer to find the Trail that look to be a gun metal type color and painted from factory so I don't have to deal with stripping and pc or painting them. I may end up just having to go that routed though... or just going aftermarket and not stock style at all.

He's almost 9 months old and he's a terror! But definitely funny. We are still being protective of the 4R with him since it's relatively new. He is in my truck most of the time. You have any tips and tricks for when we decide too?

Are you saying you got a set of the Trail Edition gunmetal color wheels for $250 and you plan on powder coating them? If so it would be a shame to do that to those wheels which are much more rare and sought after. The regular ORP brushed silver/black wheels would be a better candidate for powder coating. Depending on condition of your Trail Edition wheels of course. I would be interested in making a deal for them.

Oh I thought those were coated black. I have the ORP edition. I guess I wasn’t paying attention to what they were in the picture. I didn’t know they had gunmetal versions of that wheel. If I would have I’d have tried to get those and not go the PC route

I see few posts about renewing rubber inserts for the wipers. Hope this would help anyone who's looking to change wiper blades-

My wife said a Great Dane is about the only dog she would go for (she's coming around to other dogs) haha I didn't realize how stubborn they were. Yeah I am trying to build a leveling platform by fall. He tends to just chill in the back. He's afraid when the windows roll down haha

So for my work I need a Ipad or laptop in my vehicle.. I went with the RAM laptop mounting system. Had this in the Tacoma and now its found its way over to the 2023 4Runner! Plus I attached the RAM magnet phone mount to the side. The Ipad easily comes on and off when I am none with work for the day or night. RAM is expensive but I have tried cheaper mounts on Amazon and they don't hold up for as much as I use them.

I had one in my Taco and my Ram 3500; best laptop mount I have used, and it had to deal with a lot of rough roads and a heavy Panasonic Toughbook.

Only issue was when my wife was driving with me I always ended up having to remove all the upper bits. Luckily it only took about 30 seconds to do so...just took out the bottom bolt and yanked it out of the tube.

Not what I did, but what I ordered. I ordered some smoked lens ANZO tail lights from Amazon. Surprisingly, they are a good bit cheaper on Amazon vs. ANZO website. I really had been eyeing some new tail lights, and these were my favs. Hopefully they'll be here later this week.

Hmm, I thought I shared a couple days ago but here's the CBI bumper installed after going on and on in another forum about relocating the TSS sensor.

Great taillights, these are what I have on mine. One of the better looking aftermarket lights out there. IMO

I finished upgrading the music in the runner. I'm running 2 amps, 1 for the driver's area and one for the rear and sub. Amazing sound and clarity.

Never a license plate mount in site. My bumper didn't have one either. I just keep the plate in the back seat in case I get pulled over.

My speakers are Hertz Pro millie. The 5Channel for the front is a JL and the amp for the back is a kicker. The sub is JL and the head unit is Sony with apple car play. I never knew a stereo could sound this amazing! I hope this answers your question?

Thank you it does. I’m very familiar with a lot of systems because of having so many in my Toyotas. I was curious what your setup was. I never touched my 20 4runner Pro. My 21 tundra is all arc audio. Everything done but the headunit. Running a dsr1 Rockford for the tuning. I may be back some day in a 4runner. I’m into audio my whole life.

I love how the stealthbox is hidden. It gives me piece of mind that thieves can't see the goods.

Well I installed the Cascadia 4x4 one but had to install it upside down which isn't great but I may just cut and weld it to fit right.

It's been a long week. Last week, I thoroughly sanded the powder coat on my Rola basket and Saturday gave it two good coats of primer. Tomorrow I'll sand and start with finish coats. That will be the last time I paint such a big surface area with rattle cans. My trigger fingers were shot.

Last night I epoxied a key counterweight that broke on my electric piano during a gig Friday night. I'll reinstall when it's done curing tonight. I can't believe how much good repair info is available on YouTube.

Today I did the headlights on my 2010 Outback with the Sylvania kit. That's probably the last time I'll do such an operation entirely by hand. I'll get the kit for the fluids, but that really ought to be an electric drill or Dremel operation.

First oil change @2600 miles....going on a long trip Saturday and it just feels weird to have the original oil in it.

Installed 2 Lfd cross bars and a old cheap roof basket for some extra cargo space.

And lastly gave it it's weekly wash.

Yesterday, got the C4 Lo Pro installed with a Diode Dynamics ss30 and a Smittybuilt winch. Today, I get to remove the bumper cover again and lower the c4 a bit as well as finish switch install in cab.

Next month, Dobinsons IMS install. This thing is low riding now but I have the heavy stuff installed and added weights are known for spring rates.
