    Hello everyone!
Newbie on board. Actually just bought my 2018 TRD off road today and I'm very excited to start new adventures with it. And I'm very glad I found this site. Been browsing some of these threads and I knew I found the right place for answers that I might have questions for.
Speaking of questions... I'd like to change to a size 33 tire. And I'm sure rubbing will occur. How much of a lift can I go to prevent rubbing and have enough clearance for changing terrain.
    Thanks for the help

Do some searching, here and on t4r.org. In fact, here's a kickass link to give you some details on tire fitment (below). You can fit 285 /70 17 (33s) on the TRD OR with no lift, but it's tight and there will be minor rubbing. Any lift obviously will reduce that to some extent but depending on the exact tire you are running and the wheel offset, etc., there may still be minor rubbing. That rubbing is most commonly resolved by removing the mudflaps in the front and / or slightly trimming the underside of the front bumper and fender liner where they contact the tires at full lock.

It seems, from review of mods on these sites, that most people looking to run 33s will lift about 2-3" in the front and a corresponding height in the rear. I personally am at 2.5" front, 33s, no rubbing after fender liner was pushed forward and underbumper was trimmed.
