Hi the top hat on my coilover has some space between it and the nut. I can fix pretty easily but does mean there an issue with the coilover itself? Or is it just likely a shitty mechanic that did this?

Yikes! Looks like the nut backed off. You aren’t hearing a racket with that coilover flopping around?

Barely hearing a noise. Its a mild clunk its hard to pick up on. But also the top hat doesn't match whats on the driver side which is weird also the nut isn't loose at all. I think its the wrong bushing and top hat that a lazy mechanic put on lol.

Yeah, looks like either that nut isn't down right, or he didn't get the correct combo of washers and bushing under the top mount so it has the correct thickness. That looks like an OEM top mount, based on the studs. The other side might be replaced if one of the studs got damaged. That's not uncommon.
