Getting ready to take delivery of my first 4runner a used 2018 SR5 Premium. I'm looking to upgrade the wheels . I really like the look of the Black TRD Pro wheels . OEM would be great but aftermarket lookalikes of good quality would also work for me . Any recommendations of a good vendor to buy from . Thanks .

Bam Wholesale Parts sells the OEM at good pricing. Otherwise, check OfferUP and Craigslist in your area. I always see someone selling the AGP TRD clones packaged with tires for decent prices. I've never seen them in person, but they seem to sell a lot of them.

I've been checking Facebook market place and Craigslist and can find plenty of TRD Pro Premium wheels with tires . Just no luck finding the TRD Pro Black Alloy wheels .

I'm not a fan of TRD Pro wheels as they are same width as SR5 wheels.
(TRD Offroad wheels are different story as they are a wider wheel)

However there is an aftermarket wheel FN f(x) Pro that look like TRD Pro wheel yet a wider wheel so you can mount bigger tires like 285s with in the tire manufactures specification.

FN Wheels also has Konig Countersteer wheels available- very light, wider than TRD Pro's and also much easier to clean. Another bonus is you won't look like everyone else.

I like the TRD wheels because OEM wheels are definitely tested to a high standard and with aftermarket that's not a guarantee.

Plus, they're fairly cheap and light and pretty strong. I have simple tastes so they suit me well.

Keep in mind that they are 7" wide, not 7.5" which are standard. If you're planning on running wider tires, I wouldn't recommend it. After this post many will crawl out of the wood work to say many have done just that and been fine. Probably, but find one trusted source that says putting a 285+ mm tire on a 7" wide wheel is advisable.

I was like you and dead set on trd pro wheels. But the fact that they don't look very nice (subjective), are essentially on every other 4Runner out there (objective), and will not allow for a 285 made me skip them. I ended up with method 316 and really like the look.
otherwise bam wholesale or fb marketplace if you are OK with used.

Are the Pro wheels any lighter than the SR5 wheels? If paying a premium for anything, I would try to get something with a little performance improvement.

The Off Road wheels are probably the best for actual offroading, and they are 7.5" wide (I also think they look the best), but they are also heavier.

    Per trail4runner.com;

Just realized how heavy the 20in Limited wheels. So glad I changed my 20in wheels to lighter TRD Offroads wheels and also they meet the specs to run 285/70R17. Perfectly match my Silver Limited. A big win for me I guess.

BAM is fine, but you can also buy them from Toyota for the same total price if you shop around. The official Toyota Parts commonly runs free shipping (going on now). When you search for local dealers, go through the different dealer websites and search your part number to see the price, they're not all the same. For example, I just ordered an extra spare TRD wheel, and the price one dealer was right at 200 (BAM like 185), but no free shipping at BAM, so it winds up being around the same. You can also use this time to order any small parts that BAM doesn't stock and not get dinged for shipping.

That's what i'm doing. This is the TPMS I got along with the wheel - 42607-53020. It's like 30$ cheaper online. Note that this was the TPMS my dealer told me to order for this wheel. The info seems to checkout, but I haven't got it in yet, and it's different than the other ones I've seen recommended here.

Have you received a labor estimate from dealer on programming the spare TPMS?

Another vote for BAM, I got four of the new style Pro wheels and center caps shipped to my house for less than $900.

There's a process for adding a TPMS in the manual. I'm going to try that first. I just need the dealer to add the spare tire to the TMPS screen on the dash so i can be cool like the limited people.
