Super Excited

Just picked it up yesterday, super excited to work on it !

 

Congratulations. Looks like it’s in great shape. What year? Looks 90’s to me. I had a 92 SR5 fully loaded I purchased new in 92. Mine was an automatic and a little sluggish but I also had a 91 Toyota pickup same 3.0 with a 5 speed I really enjoyed driving until it was stolen less than a year later hence the 92 4Runner.

Had one owner before me, has a California fade lol
I got it for $3000 with 171k miles
There’s a few quirks I have to fix until I get to the big stuff. Nevertheless I’m excited and love this car already.

 

Very nice. I like the 90’s 4Runner better now than when I was a kid. I was in my early twenties when I had my 92 and didn’t appreciate it the way I do now. As a young guy in his twenties I wanted power and speed. I’ve gotten over that and now look for reliability. My father talked me into the 1992 4 runner. He didn’t want me having a fast high hp vehicle thinking I’d get in trouble as he did with his 68 Camaro. When I was a young kid I didn’t think my father knew anything. As I get older I realize boy did he learn a lot.
