Once upon a time long long ago, I owned a 3rd gen. It was my first car as a matter of fact, and I abused it, regretfully. I’ve missed that car ever since and looking to get into another one. I found this one, fairly low mile and seems to be clean. Tons of maintenance on carfax, nothing to indicate that it was not cared for.

I get anxious about frame rot after a bad experience with a different car. How do you all think this frame looks? To me it looks fairly clean, but are you seeing anything I’m not? I see one spot right beside the catalytic converter in one picture, that could potentially be flaking, but I can’t quite tell. Haven’t seen the car in person, but definitely will thoroughly check when I do. Based on the pics, any red flags?

Why not upload the actual picture (by saving what you're looking at) instead of taking screenshots?

The quality of the pictures are significantly degraded with screenshots.

But so far, the potato pics show a clean frame.

Very solid point, I didn’t realize. However they’re on facebook marketplace, and I’m not seeing how to save the photo without a screenshot. If I do manage to figure it out I’ll post the higher quality images asap

Ditto what Kwik said about the photos, but going off of those that looks terrific. I wish my 2013 looked that nice underneath.

When you go look at it, just check the normal places, and see if you can get the spare tire down to check around that.

On my android (or pc) it'll show what looks like 3 dots at the top right.

Clicking that should bring down a menu to save said photo.

    Post a link?

We'd be happy to offer insight on it.
