Spare Tire Water Carrier

Has anyone with a full rear bumper or hitch mount tire carrier heard of this company or tried this as a water carry solution?

Interesting! Seems like a good use of the spare tire carrier.

 

I was stoked to find these as Im tired of carrying the collapsable cubes. They take up tons of space in my interior. Now I just need to get a tire carrier

 

Seems like a pretty good excuse to buy a swing-out.

Was really considering this used one

 

I've looked at these too since I bought a hitch mounted swing out. There was a thread or blog (I think trail4runner) that walked you through how they connected a stack of 2 or 3 and pressurized the system and had hoses coming off to rinse gear, mud off of 4runner, use for whatever. Was interesting but looked like a lot of work and you have to cut/drill into them.

Not sure if it's this company or another but have seen similar used as fuel storage. I don't see it on the link above but the site I was on at the time checking them out specifically stated "not rated by <insert gov't acronym> for fuel storage".
