2001 4runner is having starting issues. Battery is new. Started fine a few times when new battery was first installed. May have something drawing down the battery because 4Runner sat for a few days and battery was dead. Starts right up when jumped. Starts right up when connecting jumper to terminals with terminals removed from battery. There’s a noise (video attached as zip file, only why I could get it attached.) from the relays often after attempting to start, but not always and sometimes the noises persists for a few seconds after removing the key from the ignition. Felt the relays for vibrations (when they’re making noise) and the pink one seems to be shaking the hardest, buts it’s kind of hard to tell since the whole box shakes. Any way to tell if relays are bad (or even the culprit)? Would it still start when jumped if the starter relay is bad?

I would disconnect all aftermarket electronics. This sounds like a parasitic drain. Solve that first. Even if the relays are bad, they shouldn't drain the battery.

I’ll see if this is the culprit. I believe it’s either for a remote start or alarm.

Look for any aftermarket security systems or radios. Disconnect them all. Then check for voltage drops across all the fuses while the car is off. Significant voltage drops are indicative of a drain.

Going to address this viper alarm (or possibly remote start system) first. Anyone know if I have to completely remove and then reconnect some wires? I don’t know crap about wiring

Edit: It’s a remote start, too many wires for me to mess up. Will probably have to take it in.

I wouldn't remove that just yet. But I would test the voltage drops across the fuses and see if I could find the offending circuit.

It may be best to take it to a shop. You need to understand wiring in these cars and how to trace\troubleshoot.
