    Well, The modification of the console bracket worked. My friend's Runner had a non traction control console bracket and console with no mounting for the acceleration and yaw sensors. I was able to find a picture of the sensors in the bracket on line and the acceleration sensor had an arrow pointing to the front. It was a tight fit and I had to cut a notch in the bracket to make the yaw sensor fit but on the hundred mile test drive home it worked. Ideally the proper parts are the fix but nobody had the console in the correct color for a decent price and fighting the traction control was a problem. I told her this was a proof of concept if it works because I was not happy replacing 3 8 or 6mm bolts with 1 sheet metal screw. I'll post a picture as soon as I upload my phone or put the forum on it.
