Hi all! I just purchased a 23 TRD ORP in black. I can’t stand the chrome valance front and rear of vehicle. I know a couple sites sell the replacements for less that $300 but they seem to have a matte finish to them, and I’m not really digging it with how shiny my car is. Has anyone had them wrapped ? I have a guy recommended by someone. But are there any down sides to having that piece wrapped? Does it last ? Never had anything wrapped before. Thanks in advance

I was told that wrap would not be the solution long term and that I should just do the replacement. I have the part just haven't done the replacement yet.

    Welcome.

You can always do a gloss black PPF on those areas. Should hold up for quite some time.

Friend of mine wrapped his years ago and it has held up fine.
I bought the black ones from 4runner lifestyle for mine.

i’ve broken a couple of valances so i couldn’t stomach paying $400+ for oem black valances.

used satin black vinyl on mine. the gloss is in between the oem black and matte black. since i’m aware of all the flaws on my wrap work it only looks ok to me.

I am thinking of having a body shop colour match mine to the Lime Rush. Not digging the silver, and black is unoriginal.

I had that thought for a minute and was going to do something custom ( I had 3 sets of valences to even mess around with ) but then after some photoshopping I realized unoriginal is not always bad. I still may do a custom one and swap back and forth (although I'll eventually get a bumper and it won't matter ) but black on a lot of the colors is the best option ... even if it's been done a ton of times. Stormtrooper ftw

I contemplated all those options for months.
Ended up with the matte black aftermarket.
Put the front on. I am pleased. Back is in the garage waiting for kidney stones to pass…

So I ended up getting it wrapped. A friend of a friend did it for $80. I couldn’t say no to that deal! Even if it a temporary fix. It’ll give me the opportunity to save up for wheels! thank you all.

The front valance drove me crazy, so I had mine painted to match and then Xpel film to help with rock chips.

That would look sweet on a lime rush. Second on getting this done!
