I swear there was a thread here about this, but I can’t find it. I am looking for the kit to hardwire into the mirror. I know I even watched a video for a newer 4Runner too.

    Anyone here done it?

    Thanks!

It’s a piece of cake. When you get ready to stick the camera mount to the glass, make sure the camera is on and you are looking at the image on the phone. Have a look here. My install notes plus a link to an excellent video.

Super easy install, just takes a little shoving to get the mirror arm wire cover back into place after adding the dongar wire into the mix.

I did the install a couple weeks back. Was easier than I thought. Between installing an air brake controller, a remote start and a this, this was the easiest.

Where did everyone mount their cameras? I like the idea of it behind the mirror, slightly toward the driver side, but I don't want to block the mirror sensor. Can it stick to the dotted part of the windshield?

Is there another option similar to the Dongar Technologies adapter? The Dongar Technologies adapter for the 2020+ 4Runner is out of stock with no estimate as to when it will be available.

Yeah but it's super easy. Pin connectors just unclip and you put the dongle in then put it all back.
