A few months ago, I found a pristine t4r, and replaced my 1999 Lexus es300. I build mountain bike trails, and have taken the ES on miles and miles of gullied gravel roads over the years. I'd raise my feet when it bottomed out! It was starting to creak and moan (suspension), and was popping engine codes. So...

This spring I found a gently used 08 Sport, V6 4WD. It's in garage-queen condition, and "only" has 222k on it. I had it checked over by our trusted mechanic, and it needs a rear axle seal, but is otherwise good to go!

So here's my first question: As a "while you're in there" fix, I'm having rear pads & rotors replaced. (Pads are oiled from the diff fluid.) I've had great success with Akebono ProAct pads & Centric Premium rotors. Any other suggestions? (Oh, and I need to get new e-brake shoes, too.)

Hmmm… can’t pull phone pix into a reply. :/ But… it’s a bone-stock Sport Edition in Shadow Mica. (I can’t decide whether that’s a dark green base with a bunch of metallic, or a dark green-gray base with a bunch of metallic. Anyway, it usually looks black, but isn’t.) Stock rims with 265/65-17s, chrome grill, roof rack & factory tinted windows. And a chrome Stealie on the front plate & a vanity plate that says FURTH3R.

20.5mpg over the past 1k miles. …About the same as my old Lexus. So far so good. …Further!!
