    ProComp 3” Leveling kit
Hey all, super new to this so my apologies if I’m posting in the wrong area.

Yesterday my buddy and I put a procomp 3” leveling kit onto the 4runner. This morning I was driving on the highway on my way to the alignment shop and I noticed that when switching lanes(turning left) the front left tire would start to shake and make noise. Nothing extreme but it’s for sure noticeable. When I got into town and was at a slower speed I can hear some clanking on the left side. It’s like I can hear the tire turning, something sounds like it’s moving. I checked all the connections and everything is tight. I had the alignment done and they were saying it was my bushings in my LCA.. He stuck a pry bar under the bushing and could wiggle it up a little bit. To me that didn’t seem like a massive issue considering that there was no problems before the lift and the vehicle only has 80k on it. The only thing I can think of is that maybe when I was pushing down on the LCA to get the strut back in, we potentially tore the bushings? IDK… it only does it on the front left. I really don’t want to spend the money on new LCA’s if I don’t have to. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Welcome. The LCA could be the culprit and lifting the suspension would amplify the issue.

Probably needle bearing. Common to get damaged when stressed out more from lifts.

Google ECGS. There's a sleeve you replace the bearing with.

When you take the bearing out, if it's missing a lot of pieces you may want to take it someone to have it cleaned out.

I haven't watched this particular video but it looks like it explains it

welcome and congrats on the lift. It may just be all over the place because it needs and alignment. If you were forcing the lca down too much you could have torn it.

When i did my lift, i loosened the lca bolts and swung them down and out of the way. I marked the cam bolts before disassembly to get them back to stock setting just so i could drive it to the shop. No issues.

You also have to torque the lca bolts to 130 ftlbs when the vehicle is under its own weight, no droop.
